Where's the Gold app: where the game actually lives on your phone

There is no Where's the Gold app, from Aristocrat or anyone else, in the Australian App Store or Google Play. What does exist: two free social casino apps whose App Store pages name the game, and a pile of "APK" pages that have nothing to do with Aristocrat. Below you'll find which apps list it, what they can and can't do, and how people play it on a phone.

Is there an official Where’s the Gold app?

No. On 28 September 2026 we searched the Australian App Store and Google Play for “wheres the gold”, “where’s the gold pokies” and “where’s the gold pokie app”. Neither store has an app named after the game, from Aristocrat or from anyone else. The results are general casino apps, and the first of them come from Product Madness.

The game isn’t sold as a download of its own. It turns up inside collection apps that hold dozens of pokies, much like a club floor holds a hundred machines under one roof.

The two apps that name Where’s the Gold

Product Madness publishes six social casino apps in the Australian stores. Two of them name Where’s the Gold in their App Store descriptions.

AppWhat the App Store listing saysAge ratingMoney
Heart of Vegas - Pokies Slots“Feel the rush with Where’s the Gold”, alongside 50 Lions, Big Red, Queen of the Nile, More Chilli and Buffalo18+Social coins only
Cashman Casino Pokies Slots“Strike gold with virtual huge Jackpots in Where’s the Gold.”18+Social coins only

Both listings carry the same line: “This game does not offer gambling or an opportunity to win real money or prizes. Practice or success at social gaming does not imply future success at gambling.” [1] [2]

The Google Play descriptions of the same apps don’t mention Where’s the Gold at all [4]. That doesn’t mean the game is missing on Android; it means the store text doesn’t promise it, so check the in-app lobby before you spend time levelling up.

Which version is inside?

Aristocrat has released several games under the Where’s the Gold name: the classic 25-line pokie, a Cash Express Luxury Line version, the US and European Where’s The Gold? Jackpots, and a Jackpot Carnival Deluxe version for Australian venues. The store listings don’t say which one the apps carry, and we haven’t installed them yet to find out. The free play guide will show a lobby screenshot once we have.

What the “Where’s the Gold APK” really is

Search for an APK and you’ll land on pages that promise a download of the game. Aristocrat doesn’t publish one. Some of those pages explain in their own words that the file is a casino’s app, not the game’s. Others sit on unrelated small-business websites that have been taken over to host gambling pages.

We don’t link to APK files and we don’t host any. An APK installed from a web page skips the checks Google Play runs on apps in its store, and it hands whoever built it the permissions you tap through. If you want the game on Android, Heart of Vegas and Cashman Casino are both in Google Play.

Playing on a phone

There are three ways people play Where’s the Gold on a phone:

  1. Free, in a social app. Heart of Vegas or Cashman Casino from the App Store or Google Play. Coins can’t be cashed out.
  2. Free, in a browser. Heart of Vegas also has a web version and a Facebook version, linked from Product Madness’s own page [5]. Whether Where’s the Gold is in the web lobby, we haven’t checked yet.
  3. For money, in a casino’s mobile site. Offshore online casinos run in the phone’s browser; no app is needed. Online casinos are not licensed in Australia, and what that means for you is set out on playing Where’s the Gold online.

What a social app can’t do

Coins in Heart of Vegas and Cashman Casino can be bought but never withdrawn, and the prizes are more coins. The feature, the characters and the gold wilds look the same as on a real machine, but how often they arrive in a social app says nothing about a machine in a venue or a casino with real money. The listings say so themselves.

Questions people ask

Is there a Where's the Gold app?
Not as a standalone app. We searched the Australian App Store and Google Play on 28 September 2026 and found no app with the game's name. The game is listed inside two free social casino apps, Heart of Vegas and Cashman Casino.
Can I win real money in Heart of Vegas or Cashman Casino?
No. Both App Store listings say the game "does not offer gambling or an opportunity to win real money or prizes". Coins you win stay in the app.
Is the Where's the Gold APK safe to install?
Aristocrat doesn't publish an APK for the game. APK files offered under the game's name come from casino sites or unknown uploaders, not from the studio, so you're installing someone else's app outside Google Play's checks.
Do I need an app to play Where's the Gold on my phone?
No. The free social versions run in the apps above, and online casinos that carry a version of the game run in a mobile browser without installing anything.
